ベトナム中部フォーン川流域における河川，ラグーンの水質概況調査を行ったところ，市街地では全窒素（数〜15 mgN/L），全リン濃度（0.1〜1.6 mgP/L）の高い地点が認められた．また，水田地域においては全窒素濃度が1〜4 mg/Lであり，施肥窒素の流出が考えられる．また，ラグーン域の濃度は上流よりも高く，市内や農地からの負荷が影響していると思われた．
