大腸菌群と糞便性大腸菌群は病原微生物の代替指標であるとともに、その比から糞便などによる汚染の度合いを評価できる指標でもある。農業水利システム内における大腸菌群と糞便性大腸菌群の動態に関する調査結果をもとに、ダム建設前後における河川での大腸菌群数の変化や水利システム内での大腸菌群の動態をまとめた。
